3063 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps (RCACC) - British Columbia Dragoons
The historic Enderby Drill Hall is home to the growing and vibrant 3063 RCACC BCD, which parade every Tuesday evening, 6:00 – 9:00 PM.
3063 RCACC BCD, is associated with their sponsoring Canadian Forces Regiment, the British Columbia Dragoons, a primary Reserve armoured reconnaissance regiment of the Canadian Forces. The Regimental Headquarters (RHQ) is located in Kelowna, BC with A Squadron located in Vernon and B Squadron in Kelowna.
The British Columbia Dragoons are part of the 39 Canadian’s Division’s 39 Canadian Brigade Group.
The Army Cadet League of Canada, BC Branch (ACLC-BC), a civilian non-profit, charitable organization supports the army cadets in partnership with the Canadian Forces and community members with their mission of achieving the aims and objectives of the Canadian Cadet Movement in general and the Royal Canadian Army cadets in particular.
Facts about the Cadet Movement :
- Cadets are not a member of the Canadian Armed Forces.
- While Canadian military values are instilled, cadets are NOT EXPECTED to join the military
- They are introduced to SEA/ARMY/AIR activities of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), but also introduced to many other respectable and available career choices
- The Canadian Government is investing in today’s youth (ages 12-18) through the Cadet Program and Canada’s future
- Is a dynamic, community-based program and succeeds through strong community support and involvement
- Cadets, in turn, make valuable community contributions
